After becoming finalists for Seth Godin's Bullmarket (we made it too), we were tasked with asking clients what we did that was special. The results were better than we could imagine so we've decided to post them here.

While we're happy to simply post these here for our ego, we also see this as a challenge to ourselves. By reading these, you will have an expectation for dealing with us, thus, these are our new benchmarks for service. As we improve (and our clients let us know) the bar will continue climbing. Challenge us on these...please!

TEDx Johannesburg

Dear Rich and Wolfy

Thank you so much for everything… all  your offerings and help and commitment and sheer style. We would not have had quite the professionalism and slickness that we had yesterday without Wolf, who worked day and night on those presentations and who facilitated last minute changes on the day…not to mention being totally on the ball and alert when transitions needed to be made.

And Rich, your energy on the stage last night was a great uplifting roaring ending that really carried the whole day through.

Seriously, I can’t thank you enough.

All the best

Janssen-Cilag (Preso Training with SalesGuru)

Dear Mark and Richard

A huge thank you for your impactful program on Tuesday, the 17th of November.

Some of the delegates had an opportunity to adapt their presentations before our big annual Marketing Plan presentations. These took place yesterday.

The training group attempted to include your principles of telling stories and adding visuals which contributed to audience engagement and lots of fun. We will keep on practicing these concepts.

I include feedback from the actual training:

Name two major benefits that you received from the Presentation skills training?

·       Learn how to use storytelling as an aid. Use of visual aids instead of words.

·       Body language and slide layout.

·       Setting objectives and timing.

·       Presentation objectives and story-telling.

·       Less is more; break the norm. Question the validity of statements. Contribution to objectives.

What impact will the program have on your future presentations?

·       Hopefully I will be able to communicate more effectively with my audience and design better slides.

·       Will be used all the time.

·       Not too busy slides, telling stories, make more use of the audience.

·       Big

·       Massive! Will use new techniques to improve audience participation.

General comments:

·       Excellent very worthwhile

·       Useful and practical

·       The choice of 2 guest speakers was excellent.

Kind regards

Hi Donovan,
This email serves to communicate our gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for sorting out our video stream last night and early parts of this morning. You went beyond what was expected from you and this is greatly appreciated by CIDA, it’s students and management. This is the kind of dedication and service any employer can really be proud of. In our opinion you are a true asset to Missinglink.

Winner: World's Best Presentation

We were recently crazy-wicked-awesome enough to enter and win our category in SlideShare’s “World’s Best Presentation” competition. SlideShare is the YouTube of the preso world – we were stoked to say the least. Our preso, A crime so monstrous, is about the modern slave trade and was inspired by E. Benjamin Skinner’s brilliant book of the same name.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Missing Link for our promo DVD. We think it is fab and big commendation to Greg who was very professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Citadel: client investment presentation

HI Boys

We just want to tell you that the work you’ve done for us on our client investment presentation is nothing short of brilliant! You’ve taken the standard to an all-time high and complimented our brand tremendously.

Thank you too for being such a great pleasure to work with! We’ve loved your energy, enthusiasm, funnyness and especially your willingness to keep on making changes for us. Sorry, we probably drove you a bit dilly at times.

We’ve had such positive feedback from staff AND clients on the actual presentation and use of visuals – they all love it.

Well done again, and we look so forward to the next job together.

Warm regards

Bonitas

Hi Rich

I hope all is well with you. I would really like to take this opportunity to highlight one of your staff members.

Dayle during the past few weeks has really not only exceeded the expectation and delivery for us on the road show but personally was incredibly professional and went beyond the call of duty to ensure that all worked smoothly for the road show.

Secondly we have requested Missing Link to assist us with another project and yet again Dayle has produced excellent work and has been a pleasure to work with as he really assists with direction and execution.

Thank you and your staff for all the hard work, time and effort.

Kind regards & God bless

FNB Commercial roadshow

Hi guys

I would just like to thank you and your team for all the hard work you put into making the road show a success.

After many hours or pushing and pulling I do believe that this has been by far the best road show to come out of the Commercial Bank and to check this we are even asking the audience to tell us, so I will let you know. But regardless of that we still had a more vibrant, informative presentation that captivated the audience and allowed us the opportunity to get the message across the way we wanted to.

If you would please pass my thanks and appreciation on to all the guys and girls at Missing Link and Thunk that helped put this together.

It was everything we wanted and more and the feedback we have had back so far has shown we were on the button.

Once again, thank you and I look forward to working with you guys again soon.

All the best

Hi Dave and Richard

You both rock!

Thank you for a brilliant day together. Richard, I haven’t laughed and learnt so much in two hours in a long time, and Dave, you managed our group incredibly well. Yes, Dave Mohr can be very scary at times even for me, and you sorted him out.

I cant wait for the first presentation when we wow our clients. You’ll have to be there to bask in the glory with us.

Thank you again. We just had so much fun too.

Warm regards (and hugs and kisses)

Chep

Hey Rich!, Tebz, Sam D’ave

This is a note to the whole team at Missing Link who worked on the CHEP presentation to say thank you and well done on the incredible job you did for CHEP.

Dave Lee (from BMW) and I presented the master piece missing link produced for us at SAPICS yesterday. The response to our presentation was nothing short of spectacular! Our message was clearly understood by the audience and very well received by the audience. As a result we have enabled significant opportunities for our RFID solutions.

Our CEO, Sales Director and our SVP for Global marketing (visiting from Orlando) were all blown away with the quality of our presentation.

We had several members of the audience come especially to us after the presentation to thank us for such a fresh take on presentation style. Your work is absolute world class!

Dave Lee from BMW was also particularly impressed with the quality of the presentation and the style of presenting you enabled for us. As a result he has invited Dale and I to deliver this presentation to the BMW group in Germany in 2 weeks time. WOW!

Wait there is more!

Dave and I were the proud recipients of the Volkswagen award for the best overall paper and presentation submission for the SAPICS conference. A big thanks to you guys for all your efforts in helping us secure this award!

So thanks again to the whole team at Missing Link team on a job very well done. We can’t wait for an opportunity to work on another presentation with you guys.

Cheers,
Matt
